The Geriatric Teenager

In his typical witty style, Mark Steyn observes that Western societies are slowly expanding both adolescence and retirement age, leaving fewer and fewer years that we spend as a productive adults. This trend cannot continue forever.  It's already putting strains on our social safety net, as there are fewer workers each year providing benefits to more people who aren't working. If these trends continue, it could prove to be disastrous.

This article made my head hurt. Seriously? A court mandated allowance for a 32 year old grad student? Hazardous hairdressing? What the world needs is more 40 year olds living in their parents' basements. :) Oh brother!
